Masking Objects

Masking objects allow you to define the area of an image where animation is to take place. This makes it possible to create the effect of light reflecting off an object.

Here, a mask placed on the main image of a renewable energy producer's website covers the surface of the solar panel.

Next, a rectangle featuring a gradient transitioning from 50% to 100% transparency is created and titled down 35 degrees to line up with the solar panels in the image.
